The Air Force Reservists also provide free training to various groups in the areas of basic life support, first aid and basic self defense, to name a few. Their mission is to win the hearts and minds of the populace in support of the AFP mission.
Lt Col Mir and her very active Reservists are the epitome of what volunteerism, youth activism and love of country is all about. For their dedication to their call to service, they were adjudged the AFP Ready Reserve Unit of the Year 2006 besting the other ready reserve units in the Army, Navy, and Technical Services.
